The House System

Four Houses, One School

All students at Shree SK Vidhya Mandhir are divided into four Houses — each named after an extraordinary individual who contributed to a larger cause through courage, reason, and a refusal to conform.

These individuals — an explorer, a peace-maker, a polymath, and a physicist — were rational, ethical, and sensitive human beings who were not afraid to do what was right. Each represents a different field: exploration, philosophy, arts, and science. Together they remind our students that greatness comes in many forms.

Through inter-house sports competitions, cultural events, academic challenges, and community service, the house system builds team spirit, leadership skills, healthy competition, and a deep sense of belonging in every SKV student.

House Points & Leadership

How the House System Works

House Points
Points are awarded for academic performance, sports achievements, cultural participation, behaviour, attendance, and community service. The house with the highest points at year-end receives the House Trophy.
House Leaders
Each house is led by a House Captain and Vice Captain elected from senior students. These student leaders develop real leadership experience — organising events, motivating teammates, and representing their house to staff and management.
House Teacher
Each house is mentored by a dedicated House Teacher who guides students, tracks points, coordinates activities, and builds the house's identity and culture throughout the academic year.
